Lunar Eclipse 2007

Wow!! I have not seen one of these since I was a little kid!! Yesterday my good friend Teresa sent me an e-mail that last night or early this morning something magical would happen in the sky at 12:30 am well 12:30 came and went and I did'nt see anything, so I decided to check on my computer to see what time the show started. The eclipse started at about 1:50 am and finished up around 3:42 am ( that's what time I ended anyways ) I could barely keep my eyes open lol.
A lunar eclipse happens when the moon passes through the Earth's shadow while the moon, sun and Earth are directly aligned.
The Earth's shadow blocks the light that normally reflects off the moon, and the moon visibly dims, as light is bent by the Earth's atmosphere into the shadow.
If there is enough dust in the Earth's atmosphere, the surface will appear blood red. The last total lunar eclipse, sometimes called a blood moon eclipse, seen in New Zealand was in July 2000.
Total eclipses are rare because the sun is usually above or below the plane of the Earth's orbit.

O.K. I know I have not posted in a while so here's a few extra pictures from our little OSP trip yesterday, we went down to the Gas Lamp District and shot a few bride's for a T.T.D. session. We really did'nt trash anything we just got them a little wet . I got to meet new friends, see new places, and most importantly eat great food at this little mexican joint in Temecula on our way home called Rosa's yumm!! Thanks to my new friend Dawn Malone

This is my nephew Joseph, look at those blue eyes is'nt he adorable!! This little guy is two years old and lives in Nebraska. My sister in-law comes down around once a year to visit with all the family and stays for a good 3 or 4 weeks wich is nice, it really gives him a chance to get to know us. This kid is sooo smart, I can't wait to see what's in this little boy's future. Oh and his mommy is pregnant again so I'll have a brand new baby to photograph, my favorite. Joeys visit ended today and he is on a plane back home right now Have a safe trip little man and we will see you soon Love always Auntie
